Lashley Gives His Opinion On Lesnar
July 17, 2009
Oh, hell yes, this would be an awesome fight. And hey, it may happen!
After Brock Lesnar destroyed Frank Mir in UFC 100, Lashley has come into the scene after his takeover on Bob Sapp. These two have very much alike in common as both have had careers in the WWE, both weighing around 265 pounds, and many others.
Lashley was invited on ESPN radio and said this following comment:
“I’m not going to say anything bad on Brock, because Brock is doing all the right things. [But] my sights are set on Brock. I’m not saying I want to fight him because he’s ‘the wrestling guy.’ I’m saying it because I am a heavyweight fighter and he’s the champ.”
Although that is real kind of Lashley, we all know these two guys really should fight. I mean come on, this would be an awesome fight. It may happen.
I’ll call Dana White right now. You want me too?
Lashley has also said that he’ll be taking part in TNA Wrestling as he recently singed a contract with them. So that gives him a job with wrestling and fighting.
Pretty weird combination, I must say so (gotta admit it man).
But hey, on Earth, the strangest things can happen. And that’s why I, nor you, shouldn’t be surprised if a Lashley-Lesnar fight should even take place.
Lesnar Apoligizes After Behavior in UFC 100: Fedor His Next Match?
July 13, 2009

After Brock Lesnar tortured Frank Mir in UFC 100, things got way out of hand after the fight.
He didn’t shake Mir’s hand (not good sportsmanship), made what ESPN called a “detogatory gesture” towards the fans, and also made a sexual reference. He also called Mir a b***h.
That’s real kind, isn’t it?
Lesnar then apoligized on SportsCenter saying this quote, thanks to ESPN:
“First, I want to apologize. I acted very unprofessionally after the fight,” Lesnar told a packed room of reporters. “I’m a sore loser, OK. I don’t like to get beat. I believe that first bout between Frank and me, I gave that fight to him.
“There was a lot of emotion in this fight for me. … You guys have asked if there is something I can bring over from WWE. You saw a little of it tonight.
“I want to apologize to [sponsor] Bud Light. I’m used to selling pay-per-view tickets. I came from a business that was purely entertainment. … Dana came in, and we had a whip-the-dog session. I apologize.”
President Dana White said he wants to bring a bigger competition for Lesnar as he might face Fedor Emelanenko. That’ll be a very exciting fight to watch as it may happen.
Many sources have been coming around and as far as I have seen, it definitely looks like that we are seeing Brock Lesnar facing Fedor Emelanenko.
We’ll see what happens. As for right now, we have 100 more shows to go!

Gatti’s Wife May Be a Suspect in His Death
July 12, 2009
Another big loss to the world. First there was Michael Jackson, then there was Steve McNair, and now here we are with Arturo Gatti.
All of these deaths happened in somewhat of a matter of weeks, which is certainly something many people on the face of the Earth should literally be extremely surprised about.
Gatti was only 37 years old when he died.
Now the police are investigating how he died in his rented condo at Brazil.
Police say his wife may have been suspect. Police say she probably used her purse to strangle the man we called “Thunder.” Her purse had blood stains and so did the ground.
A good friend of Gatti said that he and his wife were having problems and were about to separate. Gatti’s one-year-old son wasn’t injured in the this sad incident.
Gatti was 40-9 in his career and will always be remembered as a true warrior to many boxing fans. He was an idol and will never give up in any fight, no matter what happened.
With Gatti dead, he most certainly won’t be forgotten as a player, and a person alone.
R.I.P. Arturo Gatti, 1972-2009
Breaking News: Murray Has Been Released from Jail
June 25, 2009
MMA fighter, Lee Murray, has been released from prison after one of the biggest cash robberies in history, Sherdog.com reports. The jail he was spending time in was the Moroccan prison.
It was said that Murray stole a cash amount of $92M back in Feburary 2006 which made him arrested. But he wasn’t done yet, though. He then went into drugs a year later which served him an eight-month sentence.
Jeez Lee.
Murray was surprised by the release, his agent said.
“I spoke to him last night and he didn’t even know that he was going for a hearing on the extradition,” Parker said Wednesday. “It was a complete surprise. When he arrived to court, they told him, ‘You’re a Moroccan citizen. You can go.’”
His last match-up was in 2004 against Anderson Silvia and, as of right now, has a 8-2-1 record in the MMA.
Battle of the Bob’s: Lashley Expects “Train Wreck”
June 24, 2009
According to Sherdog.com, Bobby Lashley says he expects a “train wreck” in his super-heavyweight bout with 375-pound Bob Sapp. Here were the exact words Lashley had spoke:
“Let’s be honest: This fight is going to be a train wreck,” he said. “It’s two guys going out there to bang, and it’s not going to take three rounds to do it, either.”
It’s going to be a very interesting matchup.
“He’s big and strong, but he’s yet to be tested,” Sapp said at a press conference. “I’m here to give him his test, and I’m here to let you know it is going to be an F.”
We’ll see how Lashley performs, who comes into his fourth MMA matchup and is undefeated right now. Let’s see how the fight will turn out, and hopefully, Lashley won’t be steamrolled (although I do want Lashley to win).
Taking a Closer Look at the Super-Heavyweight Class in the MMA
June 23, 2009
That is what Sherdog.com said of the super-heavyweight class of the MMA. And when I read this article, it was just very very interesting. A super-heavyweight class involves a person who weights 265 pounds or more.Deduct a few organs, some body fat and a knee pad or two, and there will probably be upwards of 400 pounds of solid muscle occupying the ring during the Fight Force International “Ultimate Chaos” pay-per-view event from Biloxi, Miss., on Saturday. Clearly, Bobby Lashley and Bob Sapp like to lift weights.
As you can see in that picture above, those guys are big. And I mean big! These guys are probably more than 265. And according to sources, these guys actually do lift weights very much so. PED’s have nothing to do with it, or do they maybe?
With Lashley facing Sapp, it’s going to be mammoth vs. mammoth. Sapp is just plain huge with his gorilla-shape of 375 pounds! Then you have Tim Sylvia pushing 300 pounds, as well as many others including Mark Hunt and Semmy Schilt.
Ever seen Brock Lesnar for a change.
With these big guys, it’s just amazing to see their athleticism. The salary is improving as well as Sherdog.com reports that the salary is improving towards the money that the pros in the NFL make.
Pretty impressive, don’t you think?
And also, there are two others that are getting big too with Wes Shivers at 290 pounds and Marcus Jones at 260 pounds. These guys are just getting bigger and bigger, maybe bigger by the second! Nah, getting way out of hand now.
But I agree with Sherdog.com, sometimes the super-heavyweight class is a little overrated due to the fact in that Brock Lesnar-Randy Couture fight. It was a 60-pound difference with Lesnar leading with a larger weight.
It’s truly just messed up.
